The Somesville Museum is opening for the season!

Billy Helprin of Somes Meynell Wildlife Sanctuary is joining us to kick off our “We Change With Them” speaker series. Helprin will provide updates on alewives in the region, along with other local species. The Sanctuary protects and conserves over 250 acres of forested and wetland areas surrounding Somes Pond.

This program is located at:

Somesville Museum & Gardens
Oak Hill Road
Somesville, ME

PARKING NOTE: If the museum’s parking lot is full, parking is available along Oak Hill Road.

“We Change With Them” is a six-image series by Booher that explores shifting ecosystem dynamics resulting from climate change in the Gulf of Maine.

The exhibit and speaker series were funded by the Maine Humanities Council and Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, and are part of the Landscape of Change project, the Historical Society's joint initiative with Acadia National Park, Schoodic Institute, the Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory, College of the Atlantic, and A Climate to Thrive.
