The MDI Historical Society has had another remarkable year, and we want to celebrate with the community that makes it all possible.

Join us on Wednesday, August 20, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 PM at The Neighborhood House (1 Kimball Rd, Northeast Harbor) for an evening that begins with our Annual Meeting, where we'll share updates and look ahead together. Around 6:00, we’ll have a community potluck, live music, and dancing. The Bagaduce Northern New England Ensemble is a spirited nine-piece band that captures the infectious, danceable sound of Maine's rural dance halls from the 19th and 20th centuries, with deep roots in traditional Maine fiddle styles.

The event is free and open to all (only current members may vote at the meeting). Bring a dish to share and your dancing shoes!
